This scholarship provides a £7,000 fee waiver for a full-time, part-time or online taught master’s course at one of UAL's Colleges and Institutes. 180 UAL Home Postgraduate Scholarships are available through two routes, each with different eligibility criteria.
Eligibility
If you think you meet the criteria for Route 1 and 2, we recommend you complete each scholarship application form to be considered for both.
Route 1
To be eligible to apply you must be:

assessed as a Home student for tuition fee purposes. EU and other non-UK nationals who qualify for the Home tuition fee status will also be eligible to apply; and

hold an offer to study a full-time or part-time taught master’s course at UAL taught in-person, online or low residency. Your course must offer either a Grad Dip, M ARCH, MA, MBA, MFA, MRes or MSc qualification; and
-
be in receipt of means tested benefit at the time of application to include Universal Credit; or
-
have previously received student funding from UAL (excluding the UAL Equipment Fund or previous UAL scholarship) or your previous university, awarded on the basis of financial hardship; or
-
have previously been in care for more than 13 weeks (spanning your 16th birthday).
Route 2

assessed as a Home student for tuition fee purposes. EU and other non-UK nationals who qualify for the Home tuition fee status will also be eligible to apply; and

hold an offer to study a full-time or part-time taught master’s course at UAL taught in-person, online or low residency. Your course must offer either a Grad Dip, M ARCH, MA, MBA, MFA, MRes or MSc qualification; and
-
you have achieved, or are predicted to achieve, an upper second-class honours degree (2:1) or above. Recognised equivalents are also accepted. Please refer to the NARIC to check your degree. You will need to provide your transcripts as proof of your qualification. If you have not yet received your results, you will need to provide evidence of your predicted grade as part of your application. When you receive your results, you will need to provide further evidence that you have achieved your predicted grade to be granted the award; and

You must provide a satisfactory personal reference from an academic or professional referee. Your reference must be provided in English; and

you must provide a personal statement which responds to the following questions (maximum 350 words per question):

Describe your background and your academic experience.

Describe how receiving a postgraduate scholarship would make a difference to you.

Tell us how you intend to use the qualification you will be gaining to support your future plans.

Confirm any other sources of funding you have, or have applied for, to meet the cost of your studies.
Please note:
You are not eligible to apply if you already hold a UK postgraduate taught qualification (or one at an equivalent level) from studies undertaken in the UK or abroad. |
